Travel by Gillen was founded by Gillen Geary on the premise that nothing beats personalized service, experience, and attention to detail. While many Internet sites promise special deals, travelers are often unaware of restrictions, exceptions, and fine print. Making choices based on price alone is not always the best course of action for travelers. We hear too many stories of travelers regretting that they didn't call us first.

Gillen recognized the need for experienced agents in the Internet age. While many agents succumb to the pressure of bargain internet sites, Gillen recognized the niche for knowledgeable and experienced travel professionals.She knew that travelers would appreciate the value of a full-service travel agency. Many travelers have learned that they actually save money by seeking the help of an experienced travel professional. Gillen wanted to highlight this fact and decided to use her own name and show that integrity and professionalism are alive and well in the travel industry.

Gillen worked 16 years for various travel agencies but knew she could best serve travelers by creating an agency on her own terms. She was determined to prove that her agency could provide better service and value than any other means of travel planning. She was right. Gillen is an accredited cruise counsellor by Cruise Line International Association. She has traveled extensively in North and South America, the Caribbean and throughout Europe.

I also was the tour director on an imersion tour in China. I know Mexico and South America as well as some little known islands in the Caribbean.
